BEFORE

As you can see in the before picture, my desk space didn’t have a lot going for it. It was in desperate need of a transformation. When I decided to enroll in college, I knew it was time to get a desk set up where I could feel comfortable. I bought my desk from Walmart for $175 and had the plain brown chair from a previous desk. I just moved into a new apartment and my room/desk was so plain. It was time to spice it up! I went on a mission.

Office Transformation

AFTER

It’s amazing to me how just a few decor pieces can completely transform a room! I already feel more at home and now have a cute and cozy space to work from home when necessary, complete school work, and of course work on my blog. Most of the items pictured came from At Home. Now, this was my first time going into that store and I can say, with confidence, that it is a game-changer. Picture HomeGoods merchandise at Walmart prices. Most likely because Walmart owns it, but that’s beside the point. I also got the gold grid wall piece and a gold candle from the store that never lets you down, Target. See below for where I got all these goodies.

At Home

Marble Clock ($9.99)

Sil Vous Plait Painting ($14.99)

Floral Dry Erase Board ($19.99)

Succulent Bunch ($8.99)

White Fox FIgure ($4.99)

Target

Gold Grid Wall Accent ($14.99)

Island Moonlight Scented Candle ($14.99)

T.J. Maxx

Gold Picture Frame ($16.99)

Assorted Notebooks ($10)

White and Gold Bench ($34.99)

Overall, this transformation cost about $150 (in addition to the desk) and every penny spent was worth it. Even while I sit in my new set up now and write this blog post, I feel good about my little space. I definitely still want to incorporate some white hanging shelves, then I feel it will be complete. Next stop, living room makeover!
